iPhone / iOS app — in development for 2026

A timer that speaks the
time to you

VoiceTickTimer is an iPhone timer that reads out the remaining time with a built-in voice. You can keep track of time by ear alone—no need to watch the screen. It shines when your hands and eyes are busy: cooking, workouts, presentations, and more.

Key Features

🗣️

Voice readouts of remaining time

Every 10 seconds, a built-in voice reads the time aloud—"three minutes thirty seconds," "one hour two minutes." Inside the final 10 seconds it counts down "ten, nine, eight… one," then announces "Time's up!" at zero (repeatable 1–5 times).

⏱️

Two modes: duration or time of day

Twelve presets from 30 seconds up to 23 hours 1 minute set with large one-tap buttons. You can also set a target clock time—"until 5:00 pm"—as the goal.

🕐

Easy-to-read circular dial

A large circular dial shows the remaining time at a glance. The end time and set duration are displayed alongside it, so the timer stays readable even from across the room.

🔔

Customizable sounds and haptics

11 tick sounds mark each second, played with low latency for precise timing. Interval signals come in 4 types (bells, buttons, and more), usable on up to 2 independent channels with selectable durations.

🔁

Choose what happens at the end

Three post-finish behaviors: "Stop" ends as-is, "Repeat" restarts the same duration automatically (perfect for interval training), and "Count-up" keeps counting the elapsed seconds after the alarm.

🌏

Japanese and English support

Both the interface and the spoken voice switch between Japanese and English. An "Auto" setting follows the device language, so it feels natural for international users too.

📱

Dependable details

The timer keeps accurate time in the background and while the screen is locked, with countermeasures for readouts right after returning to the foreground. A "Keep screen awake" switch prevents the display from sleeping during long sessions. In places where sound is not an option, haptic (vibration) feedback confirms your taps.

How Voice Guidance Works

Three minutes thirtyread out every 10 seconds
ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one a numbers-only finale for the last 10 seconds
Time's up! finish announcement (repeatable 1–5 times)

Readout formats: "seconds only / minutes+seconds / hours+minutes+seconds / no voice." Example: 150 seconds remaining → "two minutes thirty" / 3,720 seconds → "one hour two minutes" For one hour or more: "X hours Y minutes Z seconds" (units that are zero are skipped).
